For over 15 years, John May has created both decorative vessels and functional objects on the
lathe. Since acquiring a love for wood from his father (one of the pioneers of studio woodturning in the U.S.), May has continued
to refine his craft, even while exhibiting at some of the most prestigious craft shows in the country. Every piece is turned
by hand, using the limitations of the lathe-turning process to refine and carefully control the balance, form and proportion
of each piece. The results are works that are elegant and contemporary in design.
